Shopping for an EV shouldn't require a research department. We took the U.S. EPA's official test data, verified every starting price by hand, and put all 244 electric, plug-in hybrid, and hybrid models in one searchable database. No sponsored rankings. No invented specs. No 40-tab spreadsheet.

Prices are starting MSRP before destination, verified from manufacturer and automotive sources. Specs: U.S. EPA via fueleconomy.gov, model years 2025–2027. MPGe = miles per gallon equivalent. PHEV electric range is battery-only; total range includes gas. How we build this data

A BEV (battery electric vehicle) runs purely on electricity and plugs in to charge — no gas engine. A PHEV (plug-in hybrid) drives on electricity for daily trips, then switches to gas for longer drives; it also plugs in. An HEV (hybrid) pairs a gas engine with electric assist to save fuel but never plugs in. This database covers all three, so you can compare them honestly.
MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent) is the EPA's way of rating EV efficiency in units gas-car drivers understand: 33.7 kWh of electricity holds the same energy as one gallon of gasoline. A car rated at 130 MPGe travels 130 miles on that much energy. Higher is more efficient — and cheaper to run.
EPA range comes from standardized lab testing, so it's the fairest way to compare cars — every vehicle takes the same test. Real-world range is usually lower, especially at highway speeds, in cold weather, or with aggressive driving. Treat EPA figures as the comparison baseline, then discount 10–20% for real-world planning.
It's the EV equivalent of gallons per 100 miles: how much electricity the car uses to travel 100 miles. Lower is better. You can turn it into a fuel cost directly — multiply by your electricity rate and your annual miles.
Every spec on this site comes from the U.S. EPA's official vehicle dataset (fueleconomy.gov) — the same data behind the window stickers. Prices are researched by hand from manufacturer and automotive sources, and we publish a price only when we can verify it. Read the full methodology.
